Which regions will experience abnormal heat up to +40°C?
Plot How to survive the heat in the city
Anomalous heat is expected in several regions of Russia in the coming days — up to +40°C. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told about this on August 8 to TASS.
Where is abnormal heat predicted?
According to Vilfand, it will be the hottest in the Middle, Lower Volga and Southern Urals. There, the temperature will rise to values that are 4-6 degrees higher than normal. The thermometers will be above 30 degrees.
In the Sverdlovsk region, the Hydrometeorological Center predicts +30…+32 °C, in the Chelyabinsk region — +30…+33 °C, in the Kurgan region — +30…+32 °C.
In the middle of the week it will get warmer up to +40 °C in Samara, Ulyanovsk and Saratov regions. In the Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, the temperature during the week rises to +36…+40 °C, in Kalmykia — up to +36…+39 °C.
Hot weather is also expected in other regions of the Southern Federal District: in the Rostov Region — up to +36…+39 °C, in
in the Krasnodar Territory — up to +37 °C, in Adygea — up to +35 °C, in the steppe regions of Crimea — up to +34…+37 °C.
Because of what will abnormal heat come to these regions?
Vilfand noted that abnormal heat will arise under the influence of several factors. This is anticyclonic weather combined with hot winds from the southeast. In addition, in these regions, the highest climatic norms were recorded precisely in the first half of August.
At the same time, the meteorologist added that the abnormal heat in the Russian regions is inferior to the indicators in some other countries. So, in Kuwait it is now +51.5 °C, in Saudi Arabia — +49…+50 °C, in Baghdad (Iraq) — +50 °C.
