Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov wrote on social networks that the United States will soon transfer three NASAM mobile anti-aircraft missile systems to Kiev.
The complex was developed by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace together with the American company Raytheon and is designed to defeat maneuvering aerodynamic targets at low and medium altitudes. Depending on the type of missiles, the complex can hit targets from 20 to 180 km.
Reznikov believes that it will increase the capabilities of the Ukrainian military. He thanked US President Joe Biden and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin for the supplies.
